A method to measure thermal conductivities and contact resistances of fuel cell components

摘要
We report an experimental effort aimed to find the thermal conductivity of proton-conducting membranes, and membrane support materials used in polymer electrolyte fuel cells. The method uses stacks and samples with different thicknesses, to be able to measure contact resistances, and was tested for polyether ether ketone (PEEK). The thermal conductivity of this material was measured to 0.560 +/- 0.003 W/Km, but other materials need be tested before the method is used.
