摘要
Colour management is a system which transfers the information on colour from one device to another. The information transfer happens so that the system reproduces the colours we see on monitor onto the print with minimal information loss about the colour. The basic aim of colour management in printing is to achieve the least possible difference or almost none between the original presented on the monitor and the obtained print. ICC profiles are the basic component of such system. They enable the correct reproduction of colours during their conversion from one system into another. As the independent colour space ICC has chosen CIE L*a*b* colour space, because it is possible to reproduce in it the colour range of any device or of any technology taking into consideration that such a device has a specific ICC profile. ICC colour profiles define the characteristics for colour reproduction on each device and in each technological process. ICC profiles that are completely open calorimetric and operationally independent systems for colour management are the components of the ICC size.
