摘要
Currently you can see great changes both in the socioeconomic and political consensus in culture, science and technology. These technological changes are key features of the current era: the "knowledge age". In this context, the creations of the human intellect are expanded so that it became necessary to structure a set of rights related to this intangible asset. This set of rights, called intellectual property concerns held by the creator for his creation; not allowing it to be appropriated by another without the inventor receives no value, the growing importance of innovation and intellectual property in the country can be seen on the big concern in regulating laws on these issues, as well as the implementation of programs and policies to support technological innovation, so that the country can achieve a higher high in relation to their economic and social development, creating wealth, derived from technologies developed by the major players in the business technology entrepreneurs in the country (education and research, small medium and large companies). However, there are some aspects that turn out to cause difficulties for achieving these objectives, for example, lack of knowledge and motivation that result in lack of interest by researchers, with regard to institutions of higher education and research. Given in the context, the technological innovation of the Federal Institute for Education, Science and Technology of Bahia NIT/IFBA, sought to identify the profile of researchers and students of the institution, aimed at developing a methodology to disseminate and popularize the culture of Intellectual Property and Innovation, and promote the interface between the academy, society and business.
