Spin dependent Fano effect in an Aharonov-Bohm interferometer with a magnetic quantum dot

摘要
We have studied the electron transport of a magnetic quantum structure embedded in an Aharonov-Bohm(AB) ring. The magnetic structure, which is defined by the spatially inhomogeneous magnetic fields, can be created by ferromagnetic or by superconducting gates. We have found Fano resonances in addition to the background AB oscillations as functions of the electron energy and gate voltage. These resonances can be spin polarized and thus can be used as a spin filter.
