摘要
Plants are known to protect themselves from photodamage by quenching excess energy, yet how this happens remains widely debated. In this issue of Chem, Croce and co-workers combine ultrafast spectroscopy and mutagenesis to shed light on the elusive photophysical pathways and site of quenching in CP29, a minor light-harvesting complex.
