Nucleation studies on supersaturated aqueous solutions of (NH4)H2PO4 doped with NH4Cl and KCl

摘要
Induction periods have been measured for various supersaturated aqueous solutions of ammnonium dihydrogen orthophosphate doped with ammonium chloride and potassium chloride by the direct vision method. Various critical nucleation parameters have been calculated based on classical theory for homogeneous nucleation and the results are reported and discussed. The critical nucleation parameters decrease with the increase in concentration of NH4Cl doping but increase with the increase in concentration of KCl doping in the (NH4)H2PO4 solution.
