摘要
The Sakha Republic (Yakutia) is a unique member of The Northern: Forum by virtue of its territorial dimensions: 3 million km(2). It covers most of the northeastern part of the Asian continent, straddling the Arctic Circle. The Republic is enclosed by huge mountain ranges to the southeast that block. precipitation and heat coming from the Pacific Ocean and the southern Asia. The territorial slope from south to north allows cold air to flow in from the Arctic Ocean. The extraordinary wealth and beauty of nature, the abundance of ancient, new and modern historical monuments, the diverse ethnic and national cultures of local peoples, and broad possibilities for hunting and fishing represent a powerful factor in the attractiveness of the Sakha Republic for tourists. A specialized international tourism in our Republic may be developed on a sufficiently broad program of cognitive exotic-ethnic, Scientific, educational, ecological, hunting and sporting trends. The Republic has great recreational. potential. There, are mountain ranges, some of the most beautiful northern river valleys and interesting geological formations in the Republic: The mountain ranges are 2000 - 3000 metres in height. The nature of the Arctic Ocean, northern regions and islands is a unique experience for tourists. There are more than one thousand rivers in the Republic. There are the unique natural monument of the Lena River Pillows and the site of ancient man, Diring-Yuryakh, on the great northern river Lena which crosses Yakutia from south to north.
