摘要
Cytokines of the IL-1 family play a very important role in immunity and inflammation, and thus represent promising therapeutic targets for many chronic inflammatory diseases Indeed. IL-1 inhibitors are currently used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis IL-33, the most recent addition to the IL-1 family. has structural homologies with IL-1 and binds to the ST2 receptor (IL-1R4), a member of the IL-1 receptor superfamily expressed by inflammatory cells involved in allergy (Th2 lymphocytes, mast cells. basophils. eosmophils, iNKT cells) Because of its capacity to induce allergic-type inflammatory responses. IL-33 could be a major factor in asthma and other allergic diseases (atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis) (C) 2010 Elsevier Masson SAS All rights reserved
