摘要
An ultraviolet (UV) absorption technique is used to investigate the spatial and temporal distributions of ozone after a positive streamer discharge in air at atmospheric pressure. The discharge apparatus consists of a 45-cm long wire-to-plate configuration with an electrode gap distance of 2.5 cm, Results show an average ozone density of about 5 x 10(15) cm(-3) in an area of 2 mm(2) just below the positive electrode after application of a voltage pulse with an amplitude of 65 kV and a duration of 80 ns, Toward the cathode, the ozone density decreases rapidly, The ozone diffusion coefficient ranges from below 0.3 to about 0.6 cm(2)/s, indicating a spatial and temporal distribution of the gas temperature throughout the discharge gap as well.
