摘要
This article presents a real-time case study on the interface between risk-based inspection (RBI) and various material damages, including corrosion, erosion, and cracking of corrosion-resistant materials. Additionally, it focuses on mitigating risks to as low as reasonably practical, followed by decision-making techniques. In the absence of a sound RBI approach, certain damage mechanisms and their risks might be overlooked, which may lead to irreversible and even catastrophic asset failures.
