Possibilities of the production and energetic application of farm biomass

摘要
While the energy demand is world-wide increasing in Germany it is expected to remain almost constant for the next decade. The percentage of renewable energies could go up to 4 % with a portion of 0.5 % from biomass. Farmers traditionally produce also raw materials for energy purpose. The theoretic yields are 15-250 GJ/ha depending on the mode of energy. Every crop storing carbohydrates or oil can be converted. Flow diagrams with energy balances prove positive efficiency. Environmental benefits are compared with conventional fuels.
