Design Procedure for A 5 KW Mini Electric Vehicle Drivetrains

摘要
In the past year miDI car has been increase in production, this type vehicle need low cost drive train and low maintenance. Motor Switched reluctance has many advantages this motor have lower manufacturing cost with low maintenance. In this paper Switched Reluctance Motor 6/4 is proposed based on sizing-motor procedure. Optimize process using design of experience (DoE) with manual iteration, the final motor design validate using using FEM method to calculate torque characteristic and thermal study. Simulation of switched reluctance motors using 2D finite element model, the result shows that the model established by the software Jmag using fmite element method gives an overview characteristics of switched reluctance motors.
