Perception and use of ICT are related to teachers

The objective of this research was to determine the extent to which the perception and use of ICT are related to teachers at the Faculty of Administration and Tourism of the National University Santiago Antunez de Mayolo in the city of Huaraz. The quantitative approach was taken into account and the research used a non-experimental descriptive and correlational design. The study population consisted of 29 teachers (appointed and hired) from the Professional Schools of Administration and Tourism. The questionnaire entitled: "Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in university education". The research reported as a result the significant correlation of the study variables: perception of ICT and use of ICT. Also, the significant correlation between the variable perception of ICT, and the dimensions of the variable use of ICT: pedagogical use, social, ethical and legal use, technical use, use in university management, and use for professional development. In this way, the main hypothesis and also the specific hypotheses were corroborated.
