Status of SNO and future solar neutrino experiments

The Sudbury Neutrino Observatory is a 1 kTD(2)O Cerenkov detector designed to determine whether the currently observed solar neutrino deficit is a result of neutrino oscillations. The performance of the detector in the early stage of operations is presented, and the three planned configurations (pure D2O, addition of MgCl2 or neutron detectors) are discussed. Finally, the status of future solar experiments is briefly reviewed.
