摘要
This paper presents an integration of FEM/CAD/CAM for the development of scroll compressors. The design and calculation of the compressor was carried out first with a Visual C++ program. Then the parameters were transferred to the Pro/ENGINEER CAD environment to create solid models. The Finite Element Method (FEM) was used to analyse the deformation and stress of the scroll wall. The details of the FEM procedure are introduced in the paper. As the integration of the CAD and CAM was performed in one environment, it is convenient for developing and evaluating the components and products. The tool path codes for a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine was created automatically which is also simulated in the CAD/CAM system. The designers and manufacturing engineers can analyse and evaluate the model in the system. The components designed can be evaluated for their ease of manufacture, availability, cost and delivery time.
