摘要
The Comprehensive Resource Planning System (CROPS) and its planning engine, a constraint-satisfaction-based scheduling system, are presented and described in terms of a general framework for land use planning and decision support. The constraint-satisfaction system was modified to include dynamic constraint relaxation and a simplistic branch-and-bound scheme that allow it to solve the multiobjective farm planning problem. This system has recently been adopted by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (USDA/NRCS) after a 3-year field implementation trial in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The system is scheduled to be incorporated into the NRCS field office computing system over the next 2 years.
