摘要
The purpose of this research was to evaluate the factors that affect and alter the appropriate biomechanical models during the activity of forest harvesting in steep area, in order to meet the standard postures for each operation the forest harvesting and corrections or modifications necessary to assist in improving the posture. The research was performed in harvesting areas of eucalyptus plantations in Divino de Sao Lourenco, south of the state of Espirito Santo, a region with predominance of steep topography. The operations analyzed were chainsaw felling, bucking, tipping and manual stacking. The results indicated that the activities of felling and manual stacking need corrections and deserve attention in the short term. In the operation of manual tipping there is no need for corrective measures related to postures, which are considered satisfactory. The operation of bucking requires corrective measures and should be kept in constant check, making routine reviews of working methods, avoiding future harm to workers health.
