摘要：

The article describes the background of philosophical and journalistic work of N.N. Strakhov, in which he sought the most correct of the national question as a question of the role of ethnic culture basis. The specificity of Strakhov's intellectual "pochvennichestvo" and his herme-neutic-critical form of social thinking are characterized.
