摘要
This paper is to investigate the speech perception of two speech processors for cochlear implants: with and without tonal information of Chinese languages. More than 20 testees with normal hearing participated different tests, including 10 tones, 20 words and 30 sentences. Results show that the CIS speech processor with tonal information will greatly improve the speech identification results. This means that adding tonal information to cochlear implant's speech processor may help deaf people better understand Chinese language.
