摘要
Wind energy is stochastic and intermittent in nature, so the steady state operation of power systems is subject to different disturbances for the large scale integration of wind energy. And the intermittency of wind energy has a direct effect on the power system frequency. In this paper, an equivalent load method, a system state simulation technique, and the frequency characteristic of power system are used to evaluate the reliability of generating systems containing wind energy considering the steady state frequency characteristics based on the sequential Monte Carlo technique. The proposed method in this study is applied to the Roy Billinton Test System (RBTS). The results show that the presented method can not only reflect the contribution of wind power to the overall power system reliability, but also the negative impact of wind power fluctuation on power system reliability.
