摘要
This paper presents the results of the physicochemical characteristics of the ground water from three wells (Laktasi, Maglajani and Kriskovci) to the right and left banks of the river Vrbas in the municipality Laktasi. The results showed that high concentrations of manganese were found in water from source Kriskovci, during the trial period, compared to the maximum admissible concentration (MAC) prescribed by the relevant regulations. In only one measurement in the month of October in water from other two sources were found higher concentrations of manganese compared to the MAC. Also increased nitrate content appeared at the source Maglajani and Kriskovci as well as turbidity in the water source Maglajani. The results suggest that the water from the source Kriskovci is not safe to drink because of the presence of manganese, and thus indicates the need for treatment before sending it into the distribution system. Also, due to high turbidity in the source Maglajani, the microbiological safety in the water could be compromised.
