摘要
Matched inductive power transfer (IPT) transmission links with series-series and shunt-shunt resonator coupling are synthesized using filter theory. The utility of this approach is that circuit element values for the inductive resonators are easily calculated from scaled canonical filter prototypes. Using the filter theoretic context, we compare resonator inductances for series-series and shunt-shunt topologies for IPT applications operating in ISM frequency bands at 6.78 MHz, 13.56 MHz, 27.12 MHz, and 40.68 MHz. The inductance required for shunt-shunt coupling is within the nH range, while the series-series coupling has inductances in the mu H range.
