摘要
The cutting and extruding processing technology for ceramics based on the edge-chipping effect was a new contact removal method for hard, brittle materials, such as engineering ceramics. From continuous observations on micro morphologies of engineering ceramics at all processing phases, it was deemed that its surface material could be removed easily due to rapid and continuous propagation of the prefabricated micro-cracks toward the newly generated surface under external three-dimensional tensile stress. Furthermore, based on the spatial distribution of grayscale images, the surface quality after rough processing under the different conditions was reasonably reflected with the grayscale co-occurrence matrix (GLCM).
