摘要
A description is proposed for a low-density 2D electron system in which, according to the experimental data, a metal-insulator transition occurs with varying carrier density. In such a system, the correlation effects due to the interaction between the charge carriers can play a significant role. The system is assumed to possess a short-wavelength soft mode, which models the effect of the aforementioned interaction. The conductivity of the system (the metallic state is considered) depends not only on the common impurity scattering of the charge carriers, but also on the scattering of the Bose excitations (the soft mode), which leads to an additional dissipation of the momentum of the system. The number of Bose excitations varies with temperature, which causes a temperature dependence of the conductivity. (C) 2000 MAIK "Nauka/Interperiodica".
