Is there a trade-off between income inequality and corruption? Evidence from Latin America

摘要
In contrast to other research, lower corruption is associated with higher income inequality. This result is consistent with the idea that the corruption-inequality relationship may be different where there is a large informal sector, as in Latin America. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
