摘要
This paper presents a wide-beam circular polarization antenna design for satellite applications. The antenna consists of three parts: main radiation patch, circular parasitic patch, and mushroom-shaped parasitic structure. The antenna performs well in terms of far-field radiation performance by adjusting the structural parameters of the circular parasitic patch. The impedance matching is adjusted by optimizing the size of the mushroom-shaped parasitic structure. The simulation results show that this antenna can be realized better impedance matching at 279-283 MHz (S-11 <-15 dB), the 3-dB beam-width at the central frequency exceeds 200 degrees, and the axial ratio is smaller than 4 dB. It has great circular polarization performance within wide-beam.
