摘要
A completely randomized design with four treatments and 11 replications was used to evaluate the UDG 110, CIAP 2, CLAP 6 and CIAP 9 sorghum varieties according to the non-starch polysaccharides, condensed tannins, total phenols, non-phenol and phenol tannins contents. The content of non-starch polysaccharides in these sorghum varieties did not vary, except for the content of total pentosans in CIAP 2 variety which was lower (P < 0.05). The content of soluble pentosans and β-glucans was kept almost constant in all varieties. The content of all the phenolic compounds studied was higher in CIAP 2 (P < 0.05) compared to the rest. It is concluded that CIAP 2 variety showed high contents of tannins and low contents were found in UDG 110, CIAP 6 and CIAP 9 varieties. Thus, further studies to determine the nutritive value of these sorghum varieties for animal production are needed.
