摘要
The purpose of this study is to attempt to quantify the flow field in a circular rearing tank. It has been indicated that the flow structure in rearing tanks has an effect on the survival rate. Moreover, it is recognized that the aeration rate and aspect ratio of the tank result in different larvae survival rates. However, the flow fields in rearing tanks are not often revealed. Therefore, the authors attempt to clarify the effect of the aeration rate on overall flow fields using particle image velocimetry. The velocity in the vicinity of the free surface and around the large vortex was high at aspect ratio of 0.5 and 1.0. These velocities increased with an increase in aeration rate. Additionally, the velocity measurement results approximately correspond to those of our previous study.
