RETRACTED: Regional Differences in the Development of Basic Education in China (Retracted Article)

There is obvious regional diversity in the development of basic education in China. To promote the development of the basic education, government must strengthen the responsibility and play the role of macro coordination. In a word, the government should respond to the development of the basic education. In addition, the system of investment in the basic education should be also improved. Though the government has had an express provision that the investment in the education should be guaranteed, yet the investment in the backward areas should be more reinforced during the process of filling the gap in the development of basic education. In the same way, the development of basic education in rural areas needs to be supported by the government and the government should increase funds for rural education and provide favorable policies to promote the improvement of rural education.
