摘要
The Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility, CEBAF, makes use of electron and photon beams with an energy up to 6 GeV to investigate the electromagnetic structure of mesons, nucleons, and nuclei. The physics motivation for upgrading the facility to a maximum energy of 12 GeV will be discussed.
