摘要
In this study, we reported especially about the sintering behavior of hydroxyapatite ceramic with 0-4wt% yttrium oxide as an additive. Sintering was performed at the temperature range of 1100-1200degreesC for 2h in the air by the pressureless sintering technique. The characterization of sintered hydroxyapatite with yttrium oxide as an additive was mainly investigated by X-ray diffraction analysis. The microstructure of hydroxyapatite with yttrium oxide as an additive was observed by scanning electron microscopy.
