An Analysis on the Co-integration and Relationship between Elderly Population and Domestic Tourism Consumption in China

摘要：
According to the 2000-2014 data of China's elderly population and tourism consumption, the author discusses the relationship between the elderly population and tourism consumption by applying the unit root test, the Co-integration analysis, the Vector Error Correction Model and the dynamic econometric methods. The author finds out that there is a long-term stable equilibrium relationship between the two. According to the empirical results, the author puts forward several suggestions to regulate and improve elderly tourism environment, explore the senior tourism market, stimulate the effective demands of the elderly tourism, and promote active aging oriented tourism products.
