Co-integration analysis of the relationship between FDI and employment growth in China

摘要：
Based on the statistics of China, 1983-2003, and by means of co-integration theory and Granger Causality Test, this paper makes an empirical analysis of the relationship between FDI and employment growth in China, the results of which show that: there is a long-run steady co-integration relationship between them, but only an unidirectional Granger Causality relationship exists: employment growth is the Granger reason for FDI increasing while the increase of FDI is not the Granger reason for employment growth. This paper will make an explanation for this, and give some relative policy suggestions.
