摘要
The skin has a high density of immune cells and nerve fibers. Cutaneous neurotransmitters are very important in skin physiology and cutaneous inflammation. In the course of allergic dermatoses, such as atopic dermatitis or urticaria, the cutaneous nervous system is modified (density of nerve fibers, concentration and distribution of neuropeptides). Neurotransmitters are actively involved in the pathogenesis of the vascular and cellular phases of inflammation. These data suggest that agonists and antagonists of neurotransmitters may represent a new and very interesting alternative for the treatment of patients.
