An efficient query processing method for location-based application on mobile computing

摘要
Many location-based applications had been developed as development of Mobile Internet technology Also disconnected operation techniques by restriction of disconnection of this environment studied. However, cached data that is used in disconnected operation has disadvantage that it can not support contents-based reasoning, as it does not have semantic information. Also, semantic caching method to solve this problem has much restriction to use to location-based applications. In this paper, we propose new query processing method based on semantic caching technique using navigation query type recognition(NQTR). Proposed method can solve overload of spatial operations, and can forecast fixed and serial mobility of mobile client through consideration of characteristics of serial query by client's mobility.
