Combined frequency conversion and pulse compression in nonlinear tapered waveguides

摘要
We suggest an application of four-wave mixing process in tapered waveguides for generation of ultrashort pulses with tunable central frequency. Efficient conversion is demonstrated for strongly chirped pump pulses, which experience reduced nonlinear absorption.
