摘要
Body Area Network, which consists of several on body or in-body sensors, is one kind of wireless sensor networks. Great application potential of BAN in all the fields is found, especially in the medical health care. The development of the wireless technologies has greatly motivated the research and development of BAN. This paper mainly introduces the status of development of the BAN in recent years and focuses on the solution of several key problems such as low power consumption, bio-channel model, communication protocol, the security of data delivery and so on. Finally, it sums up the possible challenges in the BAN research.
