摘要
We study the effect of various electrolytes on the functional characteristics of the coatings deposited by the method of plasma-electrolyte oxidation (PEO) on aluminum and magnesium alloys. The influence of the concentration of alkali on the formation of PEO coatings is demonstrated. The prospects of application of KOH (NaOH)-Na2SiO3 combined electrolytes with various additives (glycerin, borax, fluorides, and nanoparticles) with an aim to get high corrosion-mechanical characteristics of the coatings are analyzed. It is shown that the composition and thickness of oxide coatings on light alloys can be controlled by choosing the components of electrolyte and the conditions of PEO.
