INFLUENCE OF MIGRATION ON THE LABOUR MARKET IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

Migration is considered to be the indicator of effectiveness of labour market in developed economies. Through the labour market, it affects to the general development and competitiveness of the area. The arrival of new labour fills the gap in the labour market in the host area and decrease the unemployment rate in the source area. The flexible labour markets are also in the Lisbon Strategy of European Union considered as one of the indicators of competitiveness. The labour market in the Czech Republic was marked by significant changes in recent years, which also influenced the evolution of migration in the country. The Czech Republic became from transition country, target country, foreigners sought for long-term establishment. This effect was enhanced by the accession in to the European Union.
