摘要：
A three-unit standby system is discussed wherein two units are operative and arranged in series and one is cold standby. On the failure of a unit, inspection is carried out to detect whether the unit needs to be replaced or can be repaired. Also the failure and repair times of each unit are assumed to be correlated by taking their joint density as a bivariate exponential. Various measures of system effectiveness are obtained by making use of regenerative point technique.
