A study on the third-order nonlinearities of new ruthenium complexes by Z-scan technique

摘要
The cubic nonlinear refraction index n(2) and the nonlinear absorption coefficient beta of several new ruthenium complexes ar 460 nm are measured by Z-scan technique and the third-order nonlinear susceptibility chi((3)) of the samples are calculated. The effects of molecular structures on the third-order nonlinear optical properties are discussed.
