Testing Study on UASB Process for Treating Furfural Wastewater

摘要
Adopting UASB process, the test study was on high concentration acidic furfural wastewater discharged by a certain company. The results showed that the increasing speed of the load, pH value of influent and effluent and activity of activated sludge have obvious influence upon start-up of UASB reactor; the COD removal rates were above 85% by UASB process and the effluent quality can meet the requirement of next biological treatment process.
