The precursor of the International Society of Electrochemistry

The International Committee of Electrochemical Thermodynamics and Kinetics (French acronym, C.I.T.C.E.) was the precursor of the International Society of Electrochemistry. This committee was founded in 1949 by Pourbaix with the collaboration of Van Rysselberghe and several European electrochemists.
