Influence of surface hardened treatments on fatigue limits of 30CrMnSiNi2A steel

摘要
The surface integrity changes caused by surface hardened treatments such as shot peening and surface vibration impact hardened treatment and their effects on fatigue limit of 30CrMnSiNi2A steel were studied. Surface vibration impact hardened treatment is a new surface modification process used to improve fatigue property of metals, and the main differences between vibration impact treatment and classical shot peening are discussed. The experimental results show that fatigue limit of 30CrMnSiNi2A steel is improved with 16% by shot peening and with 11% by vibration impact hardened treatment.
