The fluidized-bed carbonization of 2B coal from the Borodinsk mine in the Krasnoyarsk region at 680-750 degrees C is considered. The conditions of fluidized-bed operation in producing carbonizates of different quality are determined. The quality of the carbonizate is compared with that of MK-1 coke fines derived from Berezovsk coal. The potential applications of the carbonizate are assessed.
