Bed-load sampling in sand-bed rivers

摘要：
This paper develops a new sediment sampler, called the Delft Nile sampler, and presents the bed the bed-load sampling efficiency as a function of the median particle diameter of the bed material. Based on the results of a study, it is found that the sampling efficiency should be about 1.0 for bed material sizes larger than about 400 μm and about 1.5 for finer material sizes.
