This paper reports the results from an experimental study on the crushing behavior of FRP tubes under quasi-static axial compression. FRP is known by the characteristic destruction called progressive crushing. And FRP exhibits good energy absorption performance. Because during this crush test, the axial load goes up to a maximum value and subsequently settled to a value. Results from a numerical analysis also are presented. This analysis model is considered the delaminations and function. In this study, the characteristic crushing behavior called progressive crushing of FRP is investigated by FEM analysis.
