Structures and spectroscopic properties of Ni(II) and Mn(II) complexes based on 5-(3′, 5′-dicarboxylphenyl) picolinic acid ligand

摘要
Two novel complexes including [Ni(Hdcppa)(H2O)(4)] (1) and {[Mn-3(dcppa)(2)(H2O)(6)]center dot 2H(2)O}(n) (2) have been synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray structure analysis and elemental analysis. Results show that 1 is a mononuclear nickel(II) compound with octahedron coordination geometry, while 2 is a stairs-like 2D layer structure consisting of the trinuclear Mn-II units linked through dcppa(3-). Spectroscopic and electrochemical properties of the complexes 1-2 have also been studied in dimethyl sulfoxide solution at room temperature. (C) 2016 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
