摘要：

Lithium carboxylic acids dienediolates are regioselectively alkylated at the a-carbon by reaction with tosylates derived from both primary and secondary alcohols. Both regio- and diastereoselectivity are improved when compared with those obtained in the corresponding alkylation with alkyl halides.
