New Method of Vertical Alignment by using Nano-structure

摘要：
We propose a new technology to control the pretilt angle of liquid crystal and leaning direction of a Vertical Aligned Nematic (VAN) upon a rugged surface. A Multi-domain Vertical Aligned (MVA) panel, incorporating a pillar-like structure with 2-3um pitch, was developed which exhibited high brightness and wide viewing angle range.
